Introduction

Hey my non-existent readers! Allow me to introduce myself. I have dabbled in blogging for a while, but this is my first attempt at starting a legitimate one. Anyway, what you should know about me is that I eat, sleep, and breathe comedy. Seriously, I started making up funny songs and sketches as soon as I learned to speak. Now, as a senior in college, I've decided to take full advantage of my gift. Most of the comedy that I write ends up in shows put on by Sketchy Comedy (the sketch comedy troupe that I am a member of) or is heaped onto the pile of stand up comedy material that I've amassed over the past six months (I'm planning to unleash it on the world after I graduate). The problem is that I have a bunch of comics, poems, and other quirky comedic things that would not translate well on stage. I've decided to showcase them here so that people can easily find them (without weeding through whiny livejournal posts) whenever they need a laugh. It will also function a blank canvas that allows me to experiment with different types of comedy for my own amusement. Maybe it can even be a portfolio in the future. The opportunities are limitless!!!!



Also, in case you were wondering, "why Em?" was the title to a parody magazine I made up in high school. (It was a parody of YM magazine, in case you didn't catch that.) I have since expanded it into a fake corporation that dabbles in all things comedy-related.
